I brought a Wizard along for the "escort" part of the badge, because I was getting annoyed with the bugs in that sequence, but it can be done just with a merc, with care.

For the Oculus it was just me and my merc all the way down the road.

If you are talking about the SoF Face Aug...I have to ask how you did the ending of Supplies for Spies where the 2 guards surround the spy in The Steam Factory. With all the chain agroing in that room, how did you mercolo this part? It's the last thing I need, and I want to do it solo also, just to say I did.

Good question. It's funny because I'd been there with a full crew helping some guy I didn't know a few days before that, and it took FOREVER for them to pull that how they wanted to. I hadn't started the quest yet and I was thinking "Oh no" when I got to that part because of all the angst in-group about how hard it was.

Anyway, here's what I did.

You know, of course, that generator removes invis. I went up the ramp, into the room, and then counterclockwise around that wall until the end of that control panel. Then I went diagonally across to the area where it ramps down to another generator. It's a circle that ramps around and down, then back up. There is a pather there. I went up past the 180 degree mark, to almost 270 but not quite, with 0 or 360 being the top where you enter. I waited for the patroller to come by and killed him very fast. I didn't worry about anything but doing a hard burn, because I didn't want him to run off and find friends.

Once he was dead I inched up and killed a couple guys just before the guards. That's another burn so they don't get 3 or 4 friends on the other side. Blow that stuff up.

Then I sinia'd the closest guy, and it brought his buddy. You don't want to hit the far guy or it'll get other adds, obviously. Then another burn burn with whatever you want to use - they're not all that hard, the issue is adds so you want to hit it hard with as much impulse function damage as you can. Make sure you Mal-debuff everything - a resist can be death.

That's it. Took me a couple times to figure out how to situate myself for the pather so as not to get adds, but once I got the data from a couple deaths, I was good to go.

It's easier than with a group, IMO, because of all the baggage of Mage-technique-ignorance I find.

Thank you....I finished this tonight.

I was trying the same thing you were doing, but never could get the spot right. Knowing that it could be done made it easier tonight. I did it a little different than you, but once I found the spot to start at, it went smoothly. I'm glad to finally get this done...it's been taking up bank space for too long now! :)

Well my list is a bit old but ...

Trakanon
Velk (and Lord Bob)
Dain Frostweaver IV
King Tormax
Sontalak
Vindi
Stormfeather
Master of Elements
Sister of the Spire (I had another toon eat the DT)

VP Casualty List (2009-11-11)
-----------------------------------
Druushk

Protector of Druushk
Qunard Ashenclaw

Old Kith Collection Quests (2009-11-23)
----------------------------------------------
Solo'd all of the quests with the exception of:
2x Refugee Rescue (There are 5 total rescue missions - 3 I solo'd but 2 are in a huge camp near the north central part of the map and it is impossible for me at 83 to clear it before repops which is required for the idjut toons to realize they can "escape")
Only died 3 times total and got mundo faction for it.

VP Casualty List (2009-12-03)
-----------------------------------
Xygoz (only one up - and now I know why, that fear is hella gay when it hits me at 500+ resists)

Field of Scale (Void Version)
---------------------------------
Fluttershade (This one was luck with the silences)
Festering the Diminutive
Jracsza the Feral
an ancient bonegrinder
Battleguard Gauntas (This one was the biggest challenge - seemed to hit the hardest of the FoS mobs I have fought)
Naskado the Demented
Oracle Vro`Zok

I need this to finish BiC!! And it's been tough trying to get the guild together considering they are working on the higher raid content.

I'm a little more laid back on my play style and have a group (85 mage (me) with cleric merc, 85 mage who boxes an 85 cleric (with tank merc) and an 85 enchanter) that would go in there and try it.

I would really like to hear how you did this one.

Word on the street is, if you use a Tank merc on this guy that keeps aggro he does not banish...pretty much easy mode from there.

I did the M'Shas in Qvic over the weekend hoping for a challenge and was sorely disappointed. They were barely even able to scratch my pet.

Has anyone ever tried any of the MPG raid trials? I was thinking a couple of the simpler ones could be doable.

Shyra is another one that I think might be doable.

Unfortunately both of those will require other people to help get the task.
