Classic MM - Upper/Lower Guk
Re: Classic MM - Upper/Lower Guk
how much better is the mage pet than the necro pet at this level? Mage burn is certainly much higher.
Re: Classic MM - Upper/Lower Guk
Mage pet hits for a little more and tanks a fair amount better. However for cursed guk I would definitely go with necro. You can use your pet, undead nukes, undead paci, mez, and FD to easily handle aggro and clean out the easier targets. IvU is also invaluable here. When you start to get to the DB con stuff dismiss your pet and start using charm, and if charm breaks just FD. I've noticed that charm in these seems to be much more reliable than charm actually was/is, so it's a very useful tactic in these.
If you have a small group then the necro is the way to go just for their versatility. If you have a larger/full group then the mage is probably the better choice.
And JT, for the Lord if it's Necro/Chanter just have each charm a guard and use those to kill Lord.

Re: Classic MM - Upper/Lower Guk
Unless it has changed some from back in the day (I haven't played any char pre 50 in many years) the necro pet and mage pet at that lvl should be about on par. As a matter of fact, in straight up pet duels I used to do in the pre-50 stages the necro pet always edged out the mage pet, no matter which mage pet you used.
Anyway, back on topic, you should use the class you need depending on scenario.
Like Merlaina said, use the chanter/necro for cursed (makes it a lot easier) and use chanter/mage for Live (faster than chanter/necro). Chanter/either works for Naggy.

These have been changed in the following ways:
-All 3 players must be in the zone in order to loot the chest at the end.
-You may now collect up to 10 rewards before cashing them in.
There also used to be an exploit whereby if your toon was an SK and you chose the SK mission toon, you could HT for the max HT value of like a 75 SK (I think, it was around 6k damage) before any aa augmentation. That has been fixed.
Also, don't be an idiot like me and forget that you have your exp meter on 100% aa and then get click happy with rewards. I wasted 3 full rewards before realizing my 30-aa bank was full. ><

Unless they were changed again these no longer give exp. They do still have some nice augs. There is also an item with clicky tash and an instant nuke primary both clickable from inventory.
Re: Classic MM - Upper/Lower Guk
Jeez no longer give xp?
