Arcane distillect, Broken?

Post by Cielli »

Recently realized I didn't have this spell ( was using the very old 5% mod )

After testing both spells, I noticed my pet Max hit does not change... it is 1775 ( non crit ) 2675 Crit, With or without the spell running... Do these spells not work with our newer pets? My understanding was they raise the Max dmg ( I remember them doing this way back when, mb lvl 80'ish )

Thought I'd bring it up.

won't effect your newer pets because mod on bunout spell is higher. It will effect your RS pets.

Ahhh ok, was just testing this thinking the same thing & you are correct! Lvl 100 Servant goes from 4146 Max hit to 4622.

A Fully AA / BP extended Servant did 188k to a mobs ( lvl 96'ish ) rear through his full duration, for anyone curious.

Oddly, vs the same Mob ( give or take one lvl ) Servant did 207k to the FRONT of the mob. Not sure how that is right... Could be a fluke, but dispells my understanding that pets do a LOT more damage attacking from the rear. If there is a difference, it's a small one? If anyone has different numbers, please share

It's all based on the RNG. Level can play a role in NPC abilities too depending on how the dev set the mob up. That's why the RS pet is so notoriously hard to put down a dps number for. It takes far more time to parse out an RS because he's up for such a short time that it's hard to get the data normalized (ie the values can all be from a streaky RNG).

Most people run a few tests on the RS pet to get a ballpark range of his damage/dps.

Ya know what would be cool if the devs could implement this? When the RS dies/pops, he emotes how much dmg he just did.

'Cielli`s pet just opened up 207,000 damage and crumbles to the floor.'

That would make those around you say, "woah. Who was driving that truck?"
And you would say, "was me, bitches."

Honestly, they could just implement an in-game parser that displays total dmg after each fight... they won't though, would hurt too many people fweewings :p & create constant balance/class fighting, & as a strong group/burst class, most of it would probably be directed at us.
