Re: beta nda has been lifted
It would seem to me the major point of this expansion are the heroic adventures. I am sure that is where the majority of their efforts went to, and it seems to be a lead in for EQ Next content. It actually feels like we will be the testers for the system.

Re: Solo crown?
Using the cleric rez after the DT was exactly how I did it. The mob was easy cause I had Virulent Talon, but you should still be able to put out enough damage to kill it before it gets off another DT (I got myself keyed to the 7th island just for the fun of it, I had never did it before). On the 7th...

Re: Developing a Solo/Molo Mage - My Take
Virulent Talon I'm always using when it pops up, unless I'm saving it for a named I'm camping.
I have currently replaced famished flames with Rain of Scythes - I'm LIKING those rain spells now.

Re: Developing a Solo/Molo Mage - My Take
Very nice write up! I play in a very similar way so can relate. I did not see any mention of Frenzied Burnout, which when combined with Fortify companion, I find are phenomenal AAs and of course situational. Also missing is companion's blessing, the 3 x 18 tick heal over time which I use for all bo...

Re: Developing a Solo/Molo Mage - My Take
Very nice! You can save yourself a spell slot by getting the Aegis of Kildrukuan AA as well. I still keep Aegis in a spell slot even with the AA. They are on different timers. I'll Cast the latest of the Malo line of spells on a named after I get the AA version on, then only if I feel teh fight is ...

Re: Developing a Solo/Molo Mage - My Take
Also to add to the OP's list, I would get the AA's Silent Casting and Arcane whisper for burning down mobs safely while soloing. You are right - I neglected to mention at the very least Silent Casting. This one could be quite useful for burning down a crowd that's beating on Fluffy - cast Improved ...

Re: December 20th:
Well, I guess I'll give the Silent Casting DCA route at the beginning of fights a go. I'm not thrilled with that, but at least it will then give DCA some use. I appreciate that suggestion Pie.

Re: Developing a Solo/Molo Mage - My Take
A couple notes: Once I get to 100 and see What new AAs and tricks I can do, I'll update this.
Under AAs, 8. Divine Companion Aura should be avoided until the devs do something to make it useful again.

Developing a Solo/Molo Mage - My Take
Ok, here's a little guide on what I've done to make Fluffy and me a decent team: *** Get the best pet focus you can for your level *** Yes, they are available at low levels http://www.eqmagetower.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2789 - Pet Focus Guide A. I'll start with my spell lineups: Solo - a...

Re: December 20th:
Nothing is going to happen to DCA. It will remain in the game as is. It is not broken in the slightest bit. It may work differently than we like now, but it works. Sony only refunds AA for those that are completely broken (and usually the AA is removed which is why you get the points back) or if it...
