When I did mine about a year ago, we took 2 groups in to make it faster, and did Jelvan. All-in-all it took maybe 45 minutes total to get in and get the orb.

Make sure you have pet hold, and you follow the zone wall.
Go slowly because the quest guy follows very slowly, and if you get too far ahead of him he'll pop to somewhere else in the zone along the normal path he would take.

Does the destroy proc on Annihilate the Anomalous rank 2 always do 32018 damage? I ask because I'd like to make an audio trigger for when it happens...

Mages with cleric mercs can solo a lot of things that weren't viable back in the day. The pet's are still awesome, plus with SoF and SoD there's some decent group armor, and some nice augment quests to do as well. You will definitely not lack for things to do in those expansions. I can confirm, mercenaries are not counted as group/raid members when requesting the CoA instances. Just went in recently for an orb run and had to get real people instead of just a couple friends + mercs.

I'd like to see an AA that increases the amount of mana/ reduces the amount of hp leach we get when using a modrod. (personal only, not a change to the spell)
